When a client has multiple pets linked to their contact profile, you can quickly switch between them to ensure the correct pet is set as the primary pet for appointments, notes, and tags. This article walks you through how to toggle between pets in the FurFlow mobile app.
Where to Start
Open the Contacts section by tapping the bottom-right icon showing two people.
Select the contact you'd like to view.
You’ll see one pet listed as the primary pet (e.g., Astro or Prince).
Hide/Show Empty Fields
At the top of the contact profile, there’s a toggle to “Hide empty fields.”
ON – Only displays completed fields.
OFF – Displays all available fields, including blank ones.
This is helpful if you want a cleaner view or if you're completing missing information.
Switching the Primary Pet
To toggle between pets:
Scroll down and tap Actions (second last in the list).
Tap the pencil icon next to Tags.
Tap the pet you'd like to make primary (e.g., “Pet 1 – Astro”).
Tap Save in the top right corner.
A “Tags updated successfully” message will appear.
You may need to refresh the page (pull down on the screen) for the primary pet to update visually at the top of the contact card.
Creating an Appointment for the Selected Pet
Once the correct pet is selected:
Tap the Meeting button in the middle menu bar.
Choose a service (e.g., “Large Tidy Up”).
The appointment will now be booked under the selected pet.
Always double-check the pet name and breed shown at the top before scheduling.
Why It Matters
Using the correct pet ensures:
Appointment history is accurate
Notes and waivers apply to the right animal
Tags and automations trigger correctly
