Stripe Payment Method Management gives you full control over which payment options (such as credit cards, wallets, and bank debits) are available across your platform—directly from within your account. This means you no longer need to access the Stripe dashboard separately, making your payment setup smoother and more efficient.

? Key Benefits of Stripe Payment Method Management

Understanding how this feature supports your business can help you take full advantage of it:

  • Centralised Control
Manage your Stripe payment options from one place—no need to switch between platforms.

  • Live and Test Mode Separation
Configure payment methods differently for live and test environments.

  • Checkout-Specific Visibility
Only the payment methods you activate will show up at checkout.

  • Subscription-Specific Settings
Tailor payment configurations for subscription products.

  • Less Reliance on the Stripe Dashboard
All changes are made directly in-platform—Stripe's dashboard isn't needed.

  • Faster Setup Across Tools
Quickly apply payment settings across invoices, funnels, forms, stores, and more.

⚙️ How to Configure Stripe Payment Methods

Make sure your Stripe payment methods are set up properly across all areas of your business. Here's how:

Step 1: Go to Payment Settings

Navigate to:
Payments > Integrations > Stripe

Step 2: Manage Payment Methods

Click Manage Payment Methods next to your connected Stripe account.

Step 3: Enable or Disable Payment Options

You’ll see a list of available Stripe payment methods. Use the toggles to enable or disable each method for use in:

  • Invoices

  • Payment Links

  • Funnels (1-Step and 2-Step Order Forms)

  • Forms

  • E-commerce Stores

  • Calendars

  • Courses

  • Communities

Step 4: Manage Subscription Payment Methods

If you offer subscription products, a dropdown labelled Subscriptions will appear. Use it to configure payment methods for subscription-based checkouts.

Note: According to Stripe, this section only becomes available once at least one subscription product has been created in Live Mode within that sub-account.

Step 5: Save Changes

Be sure to click Save once you’ve finished setting up your preferences.

? Where Your Payment Method Settings Apply

Once set, your Stripe payment method configuration will apply to the following areas:

  • Invoices

  • Invoices with AutoPayments

  • Payment Links

  • Funnels – One-Step Order Form

  • Funnels – Two-Step Order Form

  • Forms

  • E-commerce Stores

  • Calendars

  • Courses

  • Communities

  • Subscriptions

Each checkout will only display the payment methods you’ve selected—helping you offer a clearer, more consistent experience to customers.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I still edit Stripe payment methods from the Stripe dashboard?

No. Once Stripe is connected to your platform, payment method settings must be managed within the platform itself. Editing them on Stripe directly will not apply to your setup.

Q: What if I already had payment methods set up in Stripe?

Your existing settings will carry over. Unless updated, each product area will follow the payment preferences already defined in Stripe.

Q: Can I use different settings for Live and Test mode?

Yes. You can independently configure Live and Test payment environments to suit your testing and production needs.

Q: Why don’t I see the Subscriptions dropdown?

Stripe only enables the Subscriptions settings once a subscription product is added in Live Mode on that sub-account.

Q: Do I need to repeat these steps for each sub-account?

Yes. Payment methods need to be configured individually within each sub-account's Payments settings.
