Tasks are essential for keeping your team on track and your salon operations running smoothly. In FurFlow, you can create tasks for specific contacts (clients or pets) or assign them to internal team members. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do both.

Assigning a Task to a Contact
You might want to assign tasks related to a specific client or their pet – for example, remembering to return a forgotten collar.
Steps:
Go to the Contacts section from the left-hand menu.
Click on the specific contact.
On the right-hand side, click the Task option.
Add task details (e.g. “Return collar at next appointment”).
Set the appropriate date and time.
Click Save.
The task will now appear on your dashboard on the scheduled day as a reminder.
Assigning a Task to a Team Member
This is ideal for internal operations like supply runs, cleaning schedules, or creating team resources.
Steps:
Go to the Tasks tab within the Contacts section.
Click Add a Task.
Enter the task name and description (e.g. “Buy Elite Shampoo 1L Bottles”).
Select a date and time for the task.
In the contact dropdown, select an internal team member (e.g. Sophie) instead of a client.
Click Save.
The assigned team member will receive a notification and see the task on their dashboard.
Tracking & Completing Tasks
Each team member can view only their own tasks.
Owners/admins can view all tasks from the dashboard.
To mark a task as complete, simply tick the box next to it. It will be removed from the pending list and recorded as completed.
Viewing Task History
Return to Contacts > Tasks to view:
Pending tasks
Completed tasks (marked with a green tick)
